UNICEF Thailand has been working with the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) over the past weeks to distribute hygiene kits, baby kits and Magic bags which contain educational and recreational materials) to flood affected areas around Thailand. Each kit will also contain curated messages regarding basic flood recovery hygiene, Infant and Young Child Feeding, parenting and wellness for families with children.
Through our partner, UNICEF releases hygiene and baby kits pre-positioned for emergencies for distribution in the 5 most affected districts in Chiang Rai province.
UNICEF has started the pre-positioning of hygiene kits, baby kits and Magic bags which can be quickly deployed to affected areas as needed. We also remains in contact with the DDPM to respond to any requests for complementary support in Bangkok or elsewhere as needs dictate.
